All volunteers with The Enai Foundation are required to complete a basic screening process, which may include a background check and reference verification. This ensures the safety and well-being of the youth and families we serve. All information is kept confidential and used solely for vetting purposes.
Minimum Age: Volunteers and interns must be at least 18 years old to work directly with minors.
Background Checks: All volunteers and interns must pass a comprehensive criminal background check prior to starting work with minors.
Student intern reference checks: Provide at least two personal, professional or academic references.
Interview and Orientation: All volunteers and interns must undergo an interview and attend an orientation session.

Training requirements:
1) First Aid/CPR Certification: Volunteers and interns are required to obtain and maintain a valid and current First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of start date.
2) Psychological First Aid: Volunteers and interns are required to complete a Psychological First Aid training and certification within 90 days of start date.
